It’s a dirty job…

Charcoal is one medium that I’m starting to come back around to.

I’ve never really played around with it that much but in the last few weeks I’ve been dabbling with it and I’m really finding it perfect for the usual horror-themed art I create.

The last time I used charcoal was to create some art for the excerpt trailer for my novella, The Noctuary. You can view it below:

I love the rapid fire nature of charcoal, and the boldness of dark and light. Each piece was done in less than an hour. I’m considering doing a very large scale piece. We’ll see how it goes.
